amazing hair saviour
new logo, new website, new everything.
When Amber first came to me, she had simply wanted me to make an information card for her bestselling product. Soon, I had designed an array of creative assets for her—a catalogue, social media templates, icons, and packaging for her new product. Amber then asked me one day if I could tackle the challenge of helping her redesign her Shopify store. In my previous experience, I really only helped clients with creative assets to be used with their websites and very basic coding, but this was a new project entirely. Seeing this as an opportunity to expand my skill set as well as learn how to serve future clients more, I decided to take on the project. It was an enormous undertaking, but it was an amazing learning experience and we ended with something we’re both extremely happy with.
It all starts with a logo.
Amber’s primary goal before starting was giving her website a new look and feel—and that starts with the development of a proper logo. She had never had one before so we worked together to create a simple but powerful wordmark. There was an intentional choice to choose a more humanistic typeface to reflect her goal of helping others with her product instead of just simply trying to succeed as a business.
icons, icons, icons
I loved working on all aspects of the website, but creating these custom icons to showcase the features of her product were so fun to do. I stuck with flesh tones to soften them up a bit and used a custom-made watercolour brush to make them stand out without being so loud.
